Eva holds a master in media informatics and is PhD student at the HCI group of the Vienna University of Technology. At the group she works as research and teaching assistant. For her PhD she focuses on food waste and the role technologies play or designs can play in this specific area. Her general interests are ecological sustainability and technology, research through design approaches, interaction and user interface design, prototyping and sketching. Beyond designing technology, she finds it fascinating how technology is used and positioned within society. This is especially interesting in terms of sustainability and technology and the mutual shaping of technology and society. Previous to joining Vienna University of Technology to pursue her PhD, she worked as researcher in several national and European research projects and as interaction design consultant.
