Katta studied first Media Culture (B.A.) and then Media Systems (B.Sc.) as well as Computer Science and Media (M.Sc.) at the Bauhaus-Universit├Ąt Weimar. Their master's thesis focused on the actual effects of novel technologies on gameplay experiences compared to their simple suggestion. During Their bachelor studies, they were interested in the development of text-based games with a focus on blind players as well as critical film theory. Before they started at OutsideTheBox she conceptualised and realised workshops for film education in primary schools in a group of students. Their PhD centers around experiences of autistic children with technologies and including their first-hand perspectives. Other (research) interests include Critical Computer Science, Gender Studies and Philosophy of Science. In their free-time, Katta likes to work with needles and threads.
