Research interests
My research focuses on queer and disabled experiences with social technologies and online communities, applying critical, participatory and speculative design methods, ethnographic methods, as well as other qualitative methods centred around design. My PhD looks at the design of social media through the lens of design power, to understand how technologies can further marginalise queer and neurodivergent people, but also in what ways they support their thriving.
My teaching includes critical design, as well as a diverse range of speculative design and storytelling workshops around the topics of gender and access.
