Hello there! I am a PhD student at TU Wien’s Human Computer Interaction research group. Prior to the PhD, I completed my bachelor and master studies in the Netherlands, and briefly studied in Sweden.
My research interests involve the design of technologies for healthcare, sport and well-being. In my work, I aim to study how to design effective feedback in sport and health technologies for a variety of purposes, including performance, mental health and bodily awareness. Besides that, I am also interested in how to design technologies to promote reflection processes, and creating data visualisations that are more understandable and approachable.
I study these topics from a variety perspectives by employing both qualitative and quantitative study methods.
Feel free to check out my ACM DL and Google Scholar profiles to check out my work. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have similar research interests or would like to have a chat!
Topics for Bachelor and Master students:
- Feedback design for sport and health technologies (i.e., adaptation of feedback according to skill level and other variables)
- Data representations to promote positive cognitive processes (i.e., reflection, self-compassion) and bodily awareness
- The effectiveness of sport and health feedback for different modalities (e.g., VR, web and mobile applications, haptics)
